Small beginnings. Big aspirations​

We started the first public interventional cardiology service with a single cath lab. Over the years, our case load has grown by leaps and bounds, as has the complexity of the cases we have taken on.

​

In the year 2016, we opened a second cath lab and most recently, in August 2018, a third. The rest, as most would say, is history. For us, however, this is only the beginning of an exciting first chapter in the annals of Sarawak cardiology.

Beyond coronaries

​

While coronary intervention will continue to be the bread and butter of interventional cardiology, we are expanding our focus to encompass a wider range of invasive therapeutics, like cardiac rhythm device implantation, electrophysiological study and catheter ablation, percutaneous valvular intervention and peripheral vascular intervention.
